ASME BPE Standard
ASME BPE (Bioprocessing Equipment) Standard Stainless Steel Tubes are specifically designed for use in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and high-purity process industries, where cleanliness, sterility, and corrosion resistance are critical. Developed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the ASME BPE standard defines stringent criteria for the materials, dimensions, surface finish, fabrication, and testing of piping systems that come into contact with highly sensitive products.
Tubes are typically made from stainless steel AISI 316L, with sulfur controlled within 0.005%-0.017% content to enhance weldability and reduce the risk of contamination. The internal surfaces are mechanically polished or electropolished.
